Medical Care
Nursing Visits
Our nurses are able to visit your loved one’s home in order to provide a wide range of medical services for our patients, including monitoring vital signs; administering and tracking medications; performing x-ray, ultrasound, bloodwork and urinalysis testing; bedside nursing for crisis management; and more.
Home Health Aide Visits
Our home health aides also monitor vital signs, while helping your loved one with their day-to-day tasks and chores. such as grocery shopping, laundry, doing the dishes, cooking, assisting with bathing and personal hygiene, and more.
Mobile X-Ray and Ultrasound
Our nurses can bring x-ray and ultrasound testing equipment to the home when necessary. These diagnostic tests will be sent to a doctor to determine if there is an additional underlying health problem that needs to be taken care of.
Physical Therapy
Through physical therapy, we help our patients improve their balance and ability to walk; sit down and stand up; get in and out of bed, car or wheelchair; and use the bathroom by themselves. We offer patients customized exercises in order to help them maintain or strengthen their skills.
In-Home Bloodwork and Urinalysis
Bloodwork and urinalysis can be used to determine if a patient’s health is declining due to a health issue outside of the terminal illness and can determine the underlying reason for these conditions. We will then create a plan of action if treatment is possible. We transport the medical equipment into the comfort of the patient’s home.
Non-Medical Care
Spiritual Service
If a patient has interest in spiritual care, we can organize visits from religious professionals such as chaplains and rabbis to converse about the afterlife, spiritual doubts, deeper questions about life, and planning a funeral. A patient does not need to be religious to receive spiritual services; we can provide staff who can discuss philosophic and emotional issues with them.
Pet and Music
Many patients respond well to pet therapy, as they find comfort and companionship in holding and playing with a dog or cat. Pet therapy can help decrease stress and anxiety, promote a positive outlook and emotional health, and encourage maintenance of social skills.
Music therapy is a method of tapping into a patient’s emotions, and can be used to encourage joy, encouragement, and other positive feelings. It also has physical benefits, as it can reduce heart rate, blood pressure, and the sensation of pain.
